Be United , to Be Powerful- Ekta Divas Celebration

India is a secular country with diversified cultures, religions and languages. As an endeavour to build the bond of oneness and unity, the country celebrates the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel on 31st October as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day), every year since 2014. In line with the celebrations countrywide, Indian School Sur organised a colourful programme, virtually on this auspicious day. An inter house poster making competition was held on the theme Unity in diversity, to commemorate the occasion. Students of classes V to XII participated enthusiastically to express their idea of unity, solidarity and patriotism. A wide range of illustrated and meaningful posters were created by the young minds which brought out their hidden talents. A cultural programme was organised by the students of class IX virtually and they put up a colourful show which proved that the pandemic could not take away their spirit and enthusiasm. Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge was undertaken by all the students and teachers of the school to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation in the spirit of unification of the county. The students presented a wonderful video presentation on the culture of different states of India.
